Mimaki unveils latest version of RasterLink6 RIP software

Mimaki RasterLink6 RIP Software

Mimaki USA, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and cutters, has launched new RasterLink6 ‘version 5.0’ of its RIP software with new features, including the PANTONE® colour libraries, colour replacement via spectrophotometer measurements and support for creating FOTOBA cut marks.

The software offers ease-of-use combined with powerful tools delivering enhanced image quality, colour and optimized output. It drives the entire range of Mimaki inkjet printers including roll-based and flatbed; eco-solvent, latex, UV-LED, solvent UV and dedicated textile solutions.

Inclusive of the PANTONE®+ Solid Coated and PANTONE®+ Solid Uncoated colour libraries, the 5.0 version of the software spots colours in design files automatically and converts it to its accurate CMYK build. It also eliminates the requirement for special colour software by enabling the use of a spectrophotometer to directly measure colour patches, or samples to be used as replacement colours within RasterLink6 software, with an option of storing frequently used colours.

Another new addition to the software is the ability to create FOTOBA cut marks directly within the Rasterlink6 operation window, which will streamline production by allowing operators to create cropmarks without the need for additional design software.
