VICTORIA’S fitness minister says she became “bodily shaken” whilst looking a video of a Melbourne chiropractor cracking the spine of a four-day-old premature infant to treat colic.
Jill Hennessy says the video, which has had greater than 1.2 million views on YouTube, is the cause why she is calling for an urgent crackdown on rogue operators who control the backs of infants and children to deal with situations like colic, autism, ear infections and ADHD.
it’s also alleged a few have cautioned parents against vaccinating their kids.
“i can apprehend doctors are outraged via the extremely distressing picture of a 4-day-vintage child having its spine cracked,” Ms Hennessy said in a declaration on Friday.
“That’s why i’ve asked the Chiropractic Board of Australia and AHPRA take pressing action to crackdown on rogue chiropractors inside the pursuits of children and babies protection.”
She also said it became “reprehensible” if chiropractors were peddling anti-vaccination myths outdoor their scope of practice.
